How often should excavator filter elements be replaced?

The replacement cycle of excavator filter elements varies by type. The detailed specifications are listed below.

Hydraulic Oil Filter Elements

Replacement is recommended every six months. During servicing, drain the old hydraulic oil from the tank first, then inspect return line filters, suction filters and pilot filters for contaminants. Clean the entire system if needed before installing new filters. Furthermore, all hydraulic oil filters must be replaced when changing hydraulic oil. Never mix hydraulic oils of different grades or brands.

Air Filter Elements

Clean or replace the filters every 2,000 operating hours, or immediately when the warning indicator light illuminates. The outer filter can be cleaned up to six times before replacement. The inner filter is a disposable part and cannot be reused.

Cab Air Filter Elements

Replace every 1,000 operating hours or every five months. A clogged filter will reduce air intake and weaken the cooling and heating performance of the air conditioning system.

Hydraulic Line Filter Elements

Replace every 500 operating hours.

Engine Fuel Filter Elements

Replace every 1,000 operating hours.

Hydraulic Return Line Filter Elements

Replace every 1,000 operating hours.
